The Experience

The whole Cu Chi Tunnels system is an enormous and complicated network of underground tunnels, which used to played a prominent role in the Vietnam (American) War. They are nowadays considered to be the most exotic yet popular day-trip destination for anyone visiting Saigon.

By joining Onetrip Cu Chi Tunnels Adventure, you will be sure to get the best combination of Vietnam's in-depth history with personalized and adventurous experiences, authentic local food, breathtaking suburb sceneries as well as more profound understanding of local lifestyles and businesses, etc.

Detailed itinerary

You can choose from three different options to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels: by riding pillion on a motorcycle, taking a private car, or on a social adventure by shared minivan.

We will pick you up at your accommodation. From there, we will head out of the city zig zagging through Saigon’s crazy traffic into a local suburb for a quick Vietnamese coffee and breakfast.

After breakfast we head toward the direction of the Cu Chi Tunnels, stopping by local businesses along the way to learn about the local crafts and industries, such as rice noodle production and natural rubber extraction.

From there it’s a straight drive to the tunnels where our guides will provide you with an in-depth history of the war, and the role that these tunnels played. You will have the opportunity to crawl inside the tunnels…just watch out for the bats!

1:30 PM

After all that crawling, you'll appreciate a big traditional Vietnamese meal with a large spread of local dishes. After lunch, a quick siesta will be in order before heading back to the city.

4:30 - 5:00 PM

We will arrive back at your accommodation. Don't forget to give our guides a hug and keep in touch. It'll likely be an experience to remember, and a new friend made.

Breakfast, drinks, entrance fee, and a delicious family-style Vietnamese lunch are included.

Important notes

Although the private car option is available, we recommend taking the motorcycle option as we think it is the best way to experience our Vietnamese culture. On a bike, we can stop whenever and wherever you want, whether it’s at a local football game or by the side of the road for a butt-break (yes, you will appreciate the butt-breaks!). The freedom is incomparable to anything else you've ever experienced.

For those with back problems or family with elderly or young children, then we recommend the private car option. Although, we have had a courageous 6-year old having a blast, loving every bit of the adventure.

We also have a minivan group tour option which can have up to 12 guests for a more social experience.

Group Tour Option:

The group tour for Cu Chi tunnels is available every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Furthermore, we can only be able to organize it for the group from 3 people, otherwise, your booking will be processed as a request and we will update you within 24 hours prior to the tour date

  • 30% cancellation fee for any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the tour date since we have to book many services in advance.
  • Otherwise, there is a 5% transaction fee for bookings that are canceled 24 hours prior to the departure in order to cover for transaction processing costs.

Pick-up & Drop-off Locations:

Free Pick-up and Drop-off at your accommodations in district 1,3 and 4. Otherwise, there are 2 options below:

  • Pick up location: Our Tour Desk - 212/2B Nguyen Trai, Nguyen Cu Trinh Ward, District 1, HCMC
  • An additional charge of USD5/pax for any other locations required.

We had an amazing time from start till the end. We opted for the motorbike, and did not regret that at all!Our guides, Alex and Ed, were both on time outside our hotel and took really good care of us the whole day. They both spoke perfect English, and had vast knowledge about the history of the war, the tunnels and the areas around. We were on this trip for almost 10hours from start till end, but time went by so fast that we didnt realise the sun was on its way down. We went to the less crowded part for the tunnels, so we basically had the whole area for ourself to explore. Along the way to Cu Chi we stopped by several places to have some food, drinks, other interesting bits and to strech our legs (and sore butts). We want to thank Alex and Ed for taking good care of us, and we would really recommend this tour and Onetrip in general for having these great tours!

We saw the reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to book with these guys.I am really glad that we did. We went to Cu Chi tunnels by motorcycle and it was an amazing experience. They take you to the most remote Cu Chi to avoid the crowds and you can't get tired because there are several stops along the way including stops for refreshment and breakfast/lunch.Totally recommend Onetrip tours.

Booked for a 1 day tour of the Cu chi tunnel and we were greated with the warmest of welcome by our tour guide Thomas. He is exceptional in his delivery and we clicked really well. He is really attentive to us and looked after us well. He even went out of his way to accompany us to the money changer. As for Onetrip itself, everything was planned out really well. Thumbs up to both Onetrip and Thomas. Would recommend it to anyone.
