The Experience

The Cu Chi Tunnels are an incredible network of connecting underground tunnels that played an integral role during the Vietnam (American) War.

Hop on the back of our two-wheels with our trained guides and head outside the city center to see the authentic local life while freshening up on the history of the war and experience what it’s like living inside the complex tunnel system.

Food, history, scenery, culture, and local industries- we cover it all! The most popular day-trip destination for anyone visiting Saigon done right: Off the beaten path, personalized and adventurous.

Detailed itinerary

You can choose from three different options to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels: by riding pillion on a motorcycle, taking a private car, or on a social adventure by shared minivan.

7:00 AM FOR MOTORCYCLE / 8:00 AM FOR PRIVATE CAR AND SHARED MINI VAN

We will pick you up at your accommodation. From there, we will head out of the city zig zagging through Saigon’s crazy traffic into a local suburb for a quick Vietnamese coffee and breakfast.

After breakfast we head toward the direction of the Cu Chi Tunnels, stopping by local businesses along the way to learn about the local crafts and industries, such as rice noodle production and natural rubber extraction.

From there it’s a straight drive to the tunnels where our guides will provide you with an in-depth history of the war, and the role that these tunnels played. You will have the opportunity to crawl inside the tunnels…just watch out for the bats!

1:30 PM

After all that crawling, you'll appreciate a big traditional Vietnamese meal with a large spread of local dishes. After lunch, a quick siesta will be in order before heading back to the city.

4:30 - 5:00 PM

We will arrive back at your accommodation. Don't forget to give our guides a hug and keep in touch. It'll likely be an experience to remember, and a new friend made.

All-inclusive

Breakfast, drinks, entrance fee, and a delicious family-style Vietnamese lunch are included.

Important notes

Although the private car option is available, we recommend taking the motorcycle option as we think it is the best way to experience our Vietnamese culture. On a bike, we can stop whenever and wherever you want, whether it’s at a local football game or by the side of the road for a butt-break (yes, you will appreciate the butt-breaks!). The freedom is incomparable to anything else you've ever experienced.

For those with back problems or family with elderly or young children, then we recommend the private car option. Although, we have had a courageous 6-year old having a blast, loving every bit of the adventure.

We also have a minivan group tour option which can have up to 12 guests for a more social experience.

Group Tour Option:

The group tour for Cu Chi tunnels is available every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Furthermore, we can only be able to organize it for the group from 3 people, otherwise, your booking will be processed as a request and we will update you within 24 hours prior to the tour date

Cancellations:

  • 30% cancellation fee for any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the tour date since we have to book many services in advance.
  • Otherwise, there is a 5% transaction fee for bookings that are canceled 24 hours prior to the departure in order to cover for transaction processing costs.

Pick-up & Drop-off Locations:

Free Pick-up and Drop-off at your accommodations in district 1 and 3. Otherwise, there are 2 options below:

  1. Pick-up location: 55/4 Le Thi Hong Gam Street, Nguyen Thai Binh ward, District 1, HCMC.
  2. Additional charge of US$5 for other locations required

I spent a perfect day with my great guide Jeff. Departure by motorcycle, small brieffing and go for adventure. Go to Tunnels by motorbike, discovering the traditional vietnamese countryside. A real immersion, with many stops in small typical places. The organization is perfect, you feel safe and all that is very typical.Special mention to Jeff, a great guy who takes care of you and helped me better understand his country. Thank you so much .

I took the bike adventure experience with Jeff, extremely knowledgeable and Sooper friendly, greaat behind the lenses tooo .. stopped at super good locations and at the right time (you know how it is riding on a bike) was on time and rode very carefully, got a few bonuses otw as well, totally worth the price, Don't miss it!!!

I had the best day on the motorcycle tour to Cu Chi tunnels! Ed was my guide (super knowledgeable and friendly) and we joined another solo traveler and his guide (Derick). The four of us had the best day I have spent in Vietnam! I loved seeing the local side of Saigon with a route to the tunnels specifically designed to take you away from tourist sights. Both Ed and Derick were extremely knowledgeable about history (both in and out of Vietnam) and gave great information and perspective in a light hearted and honest way - due to the subject matter. As an American, I appreciated their approach.I would highly recommend using the motorbike option for this tour as you can get around town so much faster and hey... it's a trip to be part of the swarm on the road of motorbikes and mopeds without worrying about where to drive.
