House rules

Our #1 RULE is to treat our place as if it were yours - unless your place is a college frat house, in which case please treat it like your grandma’s house instead. We hate setting rules but the following are really necessary for us to provide everyone with a great stay:

NO SMOKING on premise. We will be forced to charge a USD250 cleaning fee for any violations and the offender may be asked to leave our property without a refund‐‐it’s really not fair for our guests who paid for a non-smoking experience to have to deal with smoke.

MUST REGISTER all over-night visitors as required by local laws. Also, for the fellows, we are definitely not a "girl-friendly" hotel so please choose somewhere else if that's what you're looking for.

SHOES OFF inside the house. It’s a given in Vietnam but we understand that this can be an issue for some people so we just want to make sure you are aware prior to making a booking.

This is not so bad right?

Check In

Here are the pros of this place:

-Exceptional service from the host P.T; she was super friendly and efficient with our check in. Did not make a fuss when we came 2 hours early. Explained everything clearly and answered all our messages promptly and professionally. She made sure that the laundry area was available and notified us immediately. She woke up early for us to book a Grab driver to drive us to the airport and to make sure we won't pay for the ride. It was complimentary for guests that stays for more than 2 nights.

-The sharing space which was available for all. The fridge that is full of beers and bottles of water that survives off other's honesty. You pay for what you got by leaving it in the room at the end of your stay. If you don't pay, they don't pressure you (but I really suggest everyone sticks to their morals and leave behind what they used.)

-They are an honest business organization that promotes community and safety for their clients.

-The board that has your name on it when you arrive at front desk. It's really neat and has a very homey feeling.

-The house rule of taking your shoes off once you step into the premise. This ensures the cleanliness of the place.

-Unlimited filter water at the front desk if you don't want to spend money on bottle of waters.

-The room was just a room with a smaller bathroom than I expected, while the kitchen and all the amenities are outside in the share space. You get two cups in the room though. It may be our misinterpretation of private apartment since the one we stayed at in Nha Trang has everything in that suite, while the sharing space is another separate unit.

-The bed was creaky and hard (which is fine for us since we are used to it), however my partner and I both had neck pains and shoulder pains because one of the pillow was very flat. The other pillow had more cushion, so we traded from night to night. Whoever got the flat pillow ended up being in pain the next morning.

-The walls still has mosquitoes that were killed by previous guests, especially the walls right where our beds are.

-The bathroom is really small but clean. However whenever we take a shower, the toilet seat would be soaking wet.

-The location of this airbnb is on a very busy street. There are always food around so you won't go hungry, however because of the liveliness of this neighborhood, it gets really busy at night and early morning. If you like to sleep in, it might be a problem.

Overall, we did not mind the stay. We wished that the bed and pillow could be in better conditions. We stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. Luckily we were out most of the time and we didn't always mind waking up early. It definitely is a value for your money if you don't mind the size and the noise. I think it is more suitable for singles rather than couples.

I would come back to Christina's again but probably if I was traveling solo and not with my partner.

Nice place to stay in HCMC. Close to the city center and super friendly hosts. The rooms war sparkling clean. Unfortunately it gets extremely noisy during day and night time, since the apartment is directly facing a busy street. Needed earplugs to sleep.

For the price, it was better than what i had expected. The room is on the top floor so be prepare for some walking. Host was really attentive and met all my request. It was really hot on the day we arrive and we werent used to the hot weather, host gave us a fan on top of the ac right away.
