About the place

Beatty’s City Oasis

Welcome to Christina's Saigon! If you can venture into our alleys here, you can venture into alleys anywhere. The alleys are where Christina’s is at our best!

Alley (Hem) 55/2 Le Thi Hong Gam is located in the middle of the city, just steps from Ben Thanh Market and right across from the Chat Bistro, a lovely artisan café restaurant. Step outside and you’re right in the center of Saigon or stay in to escape from the 24/7 city-bustle of Saigon for a peaceful night of sleep.

At this house, our common space includes a large common area on the ground floor and a spacious rooftop where you can do laundry or have a group barbeque all at the same time!

Interaction with guests

Since we put an emphasis on the “social” aspect of our accommodation, we try to be available to our guests as much as possible. Some of our team members even live in the premises. Come hang out with us in the common area or send us a message if you don’t see us around.

The neighborhood

Our home is tucked away in an alley, away from all the noise of Saigon’s busy streets. Everything you need is only a few steps away – 24hr convenience stores, restaurants, bars, cafes and even parks. We’re also less than a 5-minute walk away from Ben Thanh Market. Despite the vibrant surrounding area, our home is located in a safe, CCTV-monitored alley, so rest assure and enjoy the stay with us.

With everything located so conveniently close to you, there’s not much else you’d need in a city like this.

Getting around

Don’t be overwhelmed by the motorcycles on the road – walk around, cross our streets, get some Banh Mi and go to September 23 Park or Tao Doan Botanical Garden nearby. You are only a walking distance away from many restaurants and markets, but taxis are readily available too for ~15k VND per km, or you can opt for Grab and GoViet (transportation apps just like Uber), which are our recommended cost-saving options to explore the city with no hassle. They also offer the motorbike option so that you can get around easily even during rush hours.

PS – when you are walking, do keep your belongings safe. Bag snatching and pickpocketing is a big issue here unfortunately (especially if you are a tourist) and we really don’t want that ruining your experience in Sai Gon.

Other things to note

We highly recommend that you take advantage of Onetrip’s donation-based City Tour run by local university students seeking cultural exchange opportunities with foreign travelers. It is a great way to orient yourself within the city and see all the beautiful landmarks of Saigon. Not to mention, it is a favorite among our guests!

We also offer an Evening Food Tour to fill your tummy up with what we think are the best local yumyums. Other options include the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels Adventure. If interested, do send us a message and we will save you a seat!

House rules

Our #1 RULE is to treat our place as if it were yours - unless your place is a college frat house, in which case please treat it like your grandma’s house instead. We hate setting rules but the following are really necessary for us to provide everyone with a great stay:

NO SMOKING on premise. We will be forced to charge a USD250 cleaning fee for any violations and the offender may be asked to leave our property without a refund‐‐it’s really not fair for our guests who paid for a non-smoking experience to have to deal with smoke.

MUST REGISTER all over-night visitors as required by local laws. Also, for the fellows, we are definitely not a "girl-friendly" hotel so please choose somewhere else if that's what you're looking for.

SHOES OFF inside the house. It’s a given in Vietnam but we understand that this can be an issue for some people so we just want to make sure you are aware prior to making a booking.

This is not so bad right?

Check In

We had an awesome time. Very nice place, everything was super well arranged. The staff was very helpful with helping us recovering our luggage that got lost on the flight. The rooms were charming, well equipped and squeaky clean. 5 stars!

Stayed multiple times at this location, currently enjoying my third stay....will never stay at a hotel in Saigon...ever. Christina's and the team here set a whole new level of customer service that no hotel, regardless of stars, can reach. They are THAT good!

If you are staying in Vietnam, you really need not look any further than Christina's. There's a reason they have 5 star reviews across the board. You get more than just a room, it's like gaining an immediate friend who is a local. They helped me with airport pickup, adventures in and out of the city, changing local flights, and local places to eat/visit to ensure I had the best experience. I'm writing this review and still here! And I'm going up to another location in Nha Trangh because I know it will be just as amazing! I would never ever stay at a hotel in Vietnam if Christina's is an option, half the price, and the experience is 100 times better....and that's regardless of your age as well!
