Nha Trang

Waterfall and Hiking Adventure

Experience by
Team Onetrip

The Experience

Are you ready for a different kind of adventure? Hop on the back of one of our motorbikes and leave the hustle and bustle of Nha Trang city for the countryside. As we head towards the secret waterfall, catch a glimpse of the locals going about their daily lives.

With a few stops along the way, you'll not only get to see breathtaking natural beauty but also get to learn more about Vietnamese culture, history and architecture. This makes the reward of swimming at the waterfall all the more rewarding.

Detailed itinerary

7:00 AM FOR MOTORCYCLE / 7:30 AM FOR PRIVATE CAR AND SHARED MINI VAN

After picking you up from your accommodation, your personal Onetrip guide will first take you to fuel up on a hearty local breakfast. There's nothing like a cup of Vietnamese coffee to get you ready for adventure!

Our first stop after breakfast is at a local family, where you will learn how to make sweet rice-paper which is like normal rice paper but with added ingredients such as sugar, ginger and sesame. It can get quite hot next to the steamer where this treat is prepared, but it will be worth it when you're rewarded with some snacks for the rest of the journey.

After the sweet treats, we head over to the Ancient House, where you can witness the mix of French and Vietnamese architecture that can be found all throughout Vietnam. As you enjoy fresh air and the tranquility of the lush garden, you would hardly know you were near a bustling city.

Back on the bikes, we head deeper into the countryside, where you can feast your eyes on the incredible views of sugar-cane fields and rice paddies. Our next stop is to meet with a member of one of the ethnic minority tribes, who will give you a hands-on lesson on making incense sticks from bamboo - it's not as simple as it seems!

We know you're eager to get to the waterfall, and we'll take a slow drive there through the local rural village. The kids of this village love sweet treats, so feel free to hand out some if you want to see their faces light up. Interacting with the villagers and seeing the local way of life is a truly authentic experience.

As we head out of the village you'll start to see various plantations that are grown by the locals for food, such as banana trees, cassava roots, and rice paddies. This is also where we will start our 3-kilometer hike to the waterfall. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Once you reach the waterfall and jump into the pool of fresh water it will all be worth it. While you relax in the cool waters, our Onetrip guides will prepare some tropical fruits, bought fresh from the local market that morning, for you to snack on. The natural beauty and views are amazing so remember to bring your camera to capture this epic moment.

Enjoy a delicious local lunch at a restaurant that offers splendid views, and relax for a little while before we get back on the bike and head back to Nha Trang City around 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM.

All-inclusive

Breakfast, drinks, and a delicious Vietnamese lunch are included.

Important

Although the private car option is available, we recommend taking the motorcycle option as we think it is the best way to experience our Vietnamese culture. On a bike, we can easily stop whenever and wherever you want. The freedom is incomparable to anything else you've ever experienced.

For those with back problems or family with elderly or young children, then we recommend the private car option. Although, we once had a courageous 6-year old opting for the motorcycle option and ended up having an awesome time and loving every bit of the adventure.

Please note that there is a 30% cancellation fee for any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the tour date since we have to book many services in advance. Otherwise, there is a 5% transaction fee for bookings that are canceled 24 hours prior to the departure in order to cover for transaction processing costs.

We did a slightly modified version of this tour, returning to Nha Trang instead of continuing on to Da Lat. Our fantastic guide, Tien (TinTin), was kind enough to modify this for us at short notice because we’d misunderstood the tour description. Truly, every element of the day was fantastic - great breakfast, insightful information and fun conversation with TinTin, meeting local farmers (while TinTin climbed their coconut tree to pick coconuts - that’s an impressive skill!), visiting the market, tasting new fruits, hiking up to the waterfall for swimming and the adventure of climbing and hiking out in a rainstorm, followed by the best lunch we’ve had in our time in Vietnam. TinTin also took great photos for us, which we really appreciated. Also, a special mention to our driver. We’ve been in lots of cars in our time in Vietnam, and his driving skills stood out as excellent.A fantastic, memorable day.

This was hands down the best day of our 3 week holiday in Vietnam. I have been on many tours, and this was by far the best. My partner and I were staying at Christina's (Airbnb) in Nha Trang and they told us about Onetrip. I booked the Waterfall and Hiking Adventure tour that night for the next day. Staff online were very helpful in answering any questions I had. This tour was in its 'trial period', and therefore my partner and I were the only two on the tour. We were picked up by Bin and Tri that morning, jumped on the back of their motorbikes and off we went. The waterfall was a fair distance away, however, we enjoyed every second of the trip there, enjoying many food and drink stops, a stop at a local market (which was a great experience for people willing to try new foods plus the people were lovely) and we stopped at an ancient house. The waterfalls were amazing, nobody around in the area (especially no sign of tourists) as this was home to an ethnic minority group. After visiting the waterfalls we had an amazing lunch at a beautiful location where we got to try the rice wine and many other delicious Vietnamese foods. We stopped for coffee on the way back as well for one last chat- then it was time to be dropped off... Overall, I think it is the guides that make this trip- if you are lucky enough to have Bin and Tri as your guides they will make this day wonderful for you, they are such lovely people and made our Vietnam trip wonderful. When I return to Vietnam I would not book tours with any other company!
