Voted as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, with sandy coasts and sparkling water, Nha Trang holds the title of being Vietnam’s best diving spot. We understand your inkling to get under water, but believe us when we say the city above ground is just as beautiful, with plenty of charming spots to explore.
On this city tour, you will be guided around the city by a local university student, and you will get to see Nha Trang from their eyes. So, in addition to all the must-visit sites, you will also get to visit some cool spots that only a local would know. At the end of the day, you will not only leave with fond memories, but also a good friend.
You can opt for either the morning tour which begins at 7:30 AM and ends right before lunch or the afternoon tour that being after lunch and ends in the evening at 5:30 PM.
Our student guides will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to all the must-visit sights in Nha Trang, starting with one of the most popular and beautiful - Long Son Pagoda. Despite being a popular tourist site, this pagoda is still actively used as a place of worship - so this is your opportunity to witness the locals go about their worshipping practices, traditions and customs. While you go around learning about its history from our guides, get ready to do some exercise and get sweaty - you’ll be walking up to the top of the hill. The views are definitely worth it. Remember to wear long trousers and sleeves, so you’re able to visit inside the main hall of the pagoda.
After the peaceful introduction, we head off the fascinating Po Nagar Towers, a set of ruins left by the Cham people who once reigned over majority of coastal Vietnam from the 8th to the 13th centuries. How these towers were made since they are still standing in near-perfect condition is still an archaeological mystery. Try to solve it yourself, but don’t be too hard on yourself if you can’t.
To end the tour is a drive along coastal Nha Trang, heading to Vinh Luong fishing village where you can witness local fishermen bask over their daily catches and their wives doing the selling. Take this moment to breathe in the salty air and snap some stunning pictures with colorful boats scattered around the bay.
In between these fantastic stops you can choose to go wherever you wish. A cafe? Souvenir shop? How about trying some local snacks? Perhaps you’d even like to switch over one of the stops on the itinerary to something else. Just mention it to our guide and they will try their best to accommodate you. We’d love it if you could write to us in advance however, so we can prepare the best itinerary for your tour.
This is a donation-based tour that benefits the students directly. Guests will directly pay for all expenses during the tour. However...
For the safety of our students, a non-refundable verification charge of USD1 will be required for each booking. All net proceeds will go towards training activities to prepare the students to be tour-ready.
For those choosing the motorbike option, we recommend a minimum donation of USD5 to be given directly to the students at the end of the tour to cover motorbike expenses. It's not an obligation but we would hate to see any students incurring out-of-pocket expenses to provide you with an awesome time.
