The Experience

Are you ready for a different kind of adventure? Hop on the back of one of our motorbikes and leave the hustle and bustle of Nha Trang city for the countryside. As we head towards the secret waterfall, catch a glimpse of the locals going about their daily lives.

With a few stops along the way, you'll not only get to see breathtaking natural beauty but also get to learn more about Vietnamese culture, history and architecture. This makes the reward of swimming at the waterfall all the more rewarding.

Detailed itinerary

After picking you up from your accommodation, your personal Onetrip guide will first take you to fuel up on a hearty local breakfast. There's nothing like a cup of Vietnamese coffee to get you ready for adventure!

Our first stop after breakfast is at a local family, where you will learn how to make sweet rice-paper which is like normal rice paper but with added ingredients such as sugar, ginger and sesame. It can get quite hot next to the steamer where this treat is prepared, but it will be worth it when you're rewarded with some snacks for the rest of the journey.

After the sweet treats, we head over to the Ancient House, where you can witness the mix of French and Vietnamese architecture that can be found all throughout Vietnam. As you enjoy fresh air and the tranquility of the lush garden, you would hardly know you were near a bustling city.

Back on the bikes, we head deeper into the countryside, where you can feast your eyes on the incredible views of sugar-cane fields and rice paddies.

We know you're eager to get to the waterfall, and we'll take a slow drive there through the local rural village. The kids of this village love sweet treats, so feel free to hand out some if you want to see their faces light up. Interacting with the villagers see the local way of life and learn more about making papoose (a type of basket container made from rattan), an ancient art preserved by a local man in the village who has preserved this tradition his whole life.
A truly authentic experience!

As we head out of the village you'll start to see various plantations that are grown by the locals for food, such as banana trees, cassava roots, and rice paddies. This is also where we will start our 3-kilometer hike to the waterfall. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

Once you reach the waterfall and jump into the pool of fresh water it will all be worth it. While you relax in the cool waters, our Onetrip guides will prepare some tropical fruits, bought fresh from the local market that morning, for you to snack on. The natural beauty and views are amazing so remember to bring your camera to capture this epic moment.

Enjoy a delicious local lunch at a restaurant that offers splendid views, and relax for a little while before we get back on the bike and head back to Nha Trang City around 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM.

Breakfast, drinks, and a delicious Vietnamese lunch are included.

Important notes

Although the private car option is available, we recommend taking the motorcycle option as we think it is the best way to experience our Vietnamese culture. On a bike, we can easily stop whenever and wherever you want. The freedom is incomparable to anything else you've ever experienced.

For those with back problems or family with elderly or young children, then we recommend the private car option. Although, we once had a courageous 6-year old opting for the motorcycle option and ended up having an awesome time and loving every bit of the adventure.

My colleague and I did the waterfall motorbike tour with Trang and Thuy fromOne trip. It was the best trip I’ve done. The scenery and smells of the city were second to none. The girls were so wonderful and went out their way to make us feel special. What a wonderful way to see the areas around Nha Trang. Highly recommend this company.

This was an amazing experience. Firstly the organisation was excellent. Secondly, our tour guides genuinely had a lot of fun with us, which is what really made the trip. They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable and safe time, in particular they were great with both of our children. This tour was not just about the waterfall, we got to see the real Vietnam. From riding on the back of a bike (which our 11 year old son handled very well- at no point were we worried for his safety), to having a proper Vietnamese breakfast, and then learning about the culture on the way. We saw a lot from rice paper making to coconut picking. At no point during the whole day did we see any other tourists. It was just our family and the Vietnamese people. And being among the natives made us learn more than we did at any museum we visited during our holiday. The whole day was never rushed, it genuinely felt like we had Vietnamese family showing us around, making sure we had an enjoyable day. Then there was the hike among the lovely scenic hills and we arrived at the fresh water pools. We were told the path to the main waterfall was difficult, but again our 11 year old son had no problems. Although, for those that don’t like climbing up and over rocks the lower pool is still great- good for swimming, jumping in or just cooling off. Though if you can manage it the main waterfall is worth it. We were the only ones there, like our own private paradise. We loved it, as did our son and 16 year old daughter and would thoroughly recommend to anyone as it will be one of our best memories of our time in Vietnam. Many thanks to Tri and the Onetrip team!!!

We did a slightly modified version of this tour, returning to Nha Trang instead of continuing on to Da Lat. Our fantastic guide, Tien (TinTin), was kind enough to modify this for us at short notice because we’d misunderstood the tour description. Truly, every element of the day was fantastic - great breakfast, insightful information and fun conversation with TinTin, meeting local farmers (while TinTin climbed their coconut tree to pick coconuts - that’s an impressive skill!), visiting the market, tasting new fruits, hiking up to the waterfall for swimming and the adventure of climbing and hiking out in a rainstorm, followed by the best lunch we’ve had in our time in Vietnam. TinTin also took great photos for us, which we really appreciated. Also, a special mention to our driver. We’ve been in lots of cars in our time in Vietnam, and his driving skills stood out as excellent.A fantastic, memorable day.
