Get off the beaten track on this countryside adventure. On the back of a vintage Vespa, escape the hustle and bustle of old town and see the other side of Hoi An. Experience what life is really like for the locals as we cruise through lush ride paddies, sleepy villages, and farmlands that are spread out over a few connecting islands. Meet with a few hardworking families and gain insight into true Vietnamese culture, learning more about the crafts that earn them a humble living. Culture, breathtaking scenery and fresh country air - the perfect laid-back adventure!
We'll start our journey from Café Zoom in Hoi An, where you'll hop onto a vintage Vespa and head towards Cam Kim island. Catch a breath of fresh air as we cruise along the peaceful river banks towards the countryside.
Our first destination is a 200-year-old Ancestral House, followed by a stop at a boatbuilders yard where you can see how traditional style boats are still being built. Sit back and relax as we head down the road less traveled through rural island villages, where you'll see locals hard at work in the rice paddies and farmlands.
A highlight of the day's adventures is when we stop to meet with local families! Get local insight into mat weaving, farming and learn more about the ancient art of making the famous Banh Dap rice crackers - a perfect snack before our next stop.
Since Vietnam is famous for its coffee, our trip wouldn't be complete without a lesson in coffee roasting and trying the local drip-coffee. It's time to jump back on the bikes and fly past Casuarina Pine & Cashew Nut Trees as we head towards the Thu Bon river mouth over the new bridge with its breathtaking views of Hoi An. Cam Tanh water coconut village is the perfect tropical setting for a delicious local lunch, our last stop on this countryside adventure before we drop you off at your hotel.
