The Experience

Want to get to Hue, but not miss out on all the amazing things that the road to our Imperial City has to offer? This tour with a private driver and guide has got you covered.

Detailed itinerary

Your adventure starts from the very moment we pick you up at your accommodation. We will head to a local cafe for either Banh Mi (Vietnamese Baguette Sandwich) or Bun Ca/My Quang (Vietnamese Noodles) and a Ca Phe Sua Da (Vietnamese Coffee). This should wake you up and get you ready for the day’s adventure.

After breakfast, we'll head towards the coast of Da Nang. Our first destination will be Nam O Village, where we will learn about how fish sauce is made. Yes, you know you love our fish sauce… and if you’re lucky, you may even be able to take home a bottle or two.

From there, we will begin ascending towards the famous Hai Van Pass that you might have seen on BBC’s Top Gear. Make sure to have your selfie-stick ready! Besides the amazing views, our guides will share with you the history and the strategic military importance of this pass to Vietnam.

Our next stop will be the Lang Co Lagoon, where we can cool off by a beautiful waterfall or a secret beach on sunny days and enjoy a local Vietnamese lunch. Once everyone is fully fed, it's time to hit the road again towards Hue City.

As eventful as the morning has been, there’s certainly no end yet to all the amazing impressions you’ll receive on this day, as we continue driving you over beautiful unique countryside roads, freely breathing in the fresh air and experiencing the sights of locals growing their various vegetables, stunning rice paddies and surprisingly big cemeteries such as the “City of Ghosts.”

You guessed it, this is a trip where you don’t want to forget your camera, to capture all those great moments and stunning views before we drop you off at your accommodation in Hue between 4:00 - 5:00 PM.

Breakfast, drinks, and an awesome local lunch are included.

Although the private car option is available, we recommend taking the motorcycle option as we think it is the best way to experience our Vietnamese culture. On a bike, we can stop whenever and wherever you want. The freedom is incomparable to anything else you've ever experienced.

For those with back problems or family with elderly or young children, then we recommend the private car option. Although, we have had a courageous 6-year old having a blast, loving every bit of the adventure.

We also have a minivan group tour option which can have up to 12 guests for a more social experience.

Please note that there is a 30% cancellation fee for any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the tour date since we have to book many services in advance. Otherwise, there is a 5% transaction fee for bookings that are canceled 24 hours prior to the departure in order to cover for transaction processing costs.

I booked the trip from Danang to Hue. The leaders, Bryan and Duc, were very knowledgeable and helpful, with fun personalities. They took us to several spots along the journey, including a fishing village, lookout point, and my favorite - a hidden swimming hole where we had a barbecue lunch! It was a really unique local experience. The motorbike journey was harrowing at parts, but I always felt safe and could tell the leaders knew what they were doing. Thanks for a great trip! Definitely recommended.

My partner and I had an incredible day with Bryan and Tan travelling from Da Nang to Hue via the Hai Van Pass on bikes. The guys picked us up at our hotel and were prepared to strap larger bags to the bike if we needed to but we left our bigger bags at the hotel and just travelled light. We grabbed some breakfast and a coffee before heading out. We were lucky to have a clear and sunny day, and the scenery was amazing as we headed out of the city in to the mountains. We stopped for some photos towards the top of the mountain and had some fresh coconuts to drink. We then travelled over to the other side, and learned a little of the history of the pass along the way. The highlight was probably our lunch stop. Well off the beaten track, we stopped at a super small local spot at the base of a waterfall with a swimming hole. I highly recommend wearing your shorts for swimming for the first part of this trip as the place we stopped was magical. We enjoyed a traditional and delicious lunch here after a swim, and chatted with some of the families there. After that we hit the road and made one small detour to cemetery village before we got in to Hue. It’s a long day on the bike, but there are plenty of stops to rest your butt and if you need more you can just ask. As with all tours we have done with One Trip (this was our fourth!) the best part are the guides that’s take you. Enthusiastic, engaged and so keen to make sure you have the best time! We can’t reccomend highly enough, if you’re up for an adventure. Dorian B, Australia

On my way to Hue, Imperial City, I started to wonder. After spending 1.5 months roaming through Asia on my own, it will be nice to get a closer touch with the natives - those who master the nooks and crannies of my destination. So when I get to Da Nang, I’m glad that I found Onetrip. Their (total) 8-hours motor bike trip, exposing myself with the less traveled spots in Vietnam, definitely lured me. At the end of the day, I came back from trip with utter satisfaction, as the road trip was indeed amazeballs! the guide, Bryan was very good and fantastic ! and you know what, I even did something for the first time ever in my life because of this trip ! skinny dip !! hahaha So here are some pics as evidence. I need to issue a disclaimer for whomever of you click away the pics, please make sure that you have an appropriate age - and of course appropriate mental space to handle my hot and sexy back.thx one trip !!
