The Experience

Da Nang is the third largest city of Vietnam and is developing so rapidly that it has become a fantastic stopover for tourists to explore. The city has retained the perfect blend of what Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh have to offer - of modernity and traditions. What better way to explore all this than with a local university student keen to show you what the city looks like through their eyes? Not only will you learn a lot about this gorgeous coastal city, but you will also make a friend along the way and create memories to last a lifetime!

Detailed itinerary

7:30 AM - 11:30 AM / 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM

You can opt for either the morning tour which begins at 07:30 AM and ends at 11:30 AM or the afternoon tour that lasts from 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM.

Our guides will pick you up at your accommodation and take you to all the must-visit sights in Da Nang. These include the Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda and the fishing village. You will also get the opportunity to drive along the longest bridge - Thuan Phuoc Bridge in Da Nang City, the famous Dragon Bridge, and also a stop at the cute love-lock bridge nearby, similar to the original one in Serbia. You can put your own padlock on it, if you wish ;)

This tour will not only be educational, but adventurous as you get to explore caves and pagodas and not to mention, climb up to beautiful viewpoints that overlook the beautiful coast of Da Nang. Lots of photo ops awaits!

Important notes

This is a donation-based tour that benefits the students directly. Guests will directly pay for all expenses during the tour. However…

  • If you opt for motorbike as your mode of transportation, we do recommend a minimum donation of USD $5 to be given directly to the students at the end of the tour to cover their motorbike expenses. It is not an obligation, but we would hate to see them incur any out-of-pocket expenses to provide you with an awesome time.

  • For the safety of our students, a non-refundable verification charge of USD $1 will be required for each booking. All net proceeds will go towards training activities to prepare the students to be tour-ready.

Phong took me around Da Nang city on her motorbike today and I absolutely loved it. Not only was she super friendly but also very knowledgeable. The views from the bike and the mountains were amazing. Highly recommend Phong (Skye) she even gave me a list of great coffee shops and vegetarian restaurants in the area.

I had the pleasure of having a student, Wendy as our tour guide in Da Nang. It was the best part of our trip. Her English is excellent and knowledge of the area is outstanding. She dedicated more time then the tour included and was willing to tailor the tour to our specific interest. Best of all we had a great time with much laughter and a wonderful bond was created. You will walk away knowing you have made a new friend. The day after our tour I got sick because of something I ate at my hotel and went to the hospital to get treated. I texted Wendy asking the location of the hospital. Later that day, To my surprise Wendy showed up at the hospital while I was being treated. She translated and made sure I was well taken care of. She did this totally on her own and spent many hours at my side. Who does that? I am forever grateful that our paths crossed. I can’t wait to return to see her again. She truly made my stay in Da Nang special!

We booked a private guided day trip wit koh Student tours. Met as arranged at the port by John. We had a 7 seater van for our exclusive use which was very comfortable and roomy. Our tour included:An old 13th century fort that was used right up til the 1970's as a military look out position over Da Nang city. The Linh Ung Temple with the statue of the goddess of Mercy. The dragon bridgeThe Marble mountain with hidden caves and spectacular views of Da Nang. On route to our first stop we took a detour to see the oyster fields and how the oysters are produced. We stopped during the tour for tasty local food .John and our driver made sure we had very good and enjoyable day. John was a very good guide with good knowledge and gave very clear explanations of everything we saw during the day. He has an excellent command of English and is a credit to your company.  In addition John needs special mention in his care of his tour group. He was very helpful and concerned that we were able to climb the uneven and steep steps at the Marble mountain. I will certainly recommend both your tour company and John. Good job all round.
