CHRISTINA'S IS THE #1 RANKED ACCOMMODATION IN VIETNAM.
A simple and modern one-bedroom apartment is centrally located, yet hidden away in an alley for a peaceful night of sleep and fully-equipped with everything you need for a homey stay while in Saigon
Welcome to Christina's Saigon! If you can venture into our alleys here, you can venture into alleys anywhere. The alleys are where Christina’s is at our best!
Alley (Hem) 55/2 Le Thi Hong Gam is located in the middle of the city, just steps from Ben Thanh Market and right across from the Chat Bistro, a lovely artisan café restaurant. Step outside and you’re right in the center of Saigon or stay in to escape from the 24/7 city-bustle of Saigon for a peaceful night of sleep.
At this house, our common space includes a large common area on the ground floor and a spacious rooftop where you can do laundry or have a group barbeque all at the same time!
This spacious 1 bedroom apartment comes equipped with:
✯ A firm yet comfortable QUEEN-SIZED bed topped with soft cotton linens
✯ A LIVING ROOM to lounge about in
✯ A KITCHENETTE to prepare your morning pancakes, and of course
✯ An en-suite BATHROOM to take a nice shower in after a long day.
The WINDOWs bring in plenty of NATURAL light to brighten up your stay.
Our ROOFTOP is also just a quick elevator ride up to the 4th floor. Here you can do your LAUNDRY or sit down at the table, surround yourself with potted greenery, enjoy the view and have a beer, chit chat with friends from all around the world. The COMMON KITCHEN is also available if you want to join cooking with us.
Unlike many other spaces in Ho Chi Minh City, there is no curfew with us. In addition to having 24/7 access to the house and your apartment, you can also use our laundry facilities, rooftop, and our lounge area at any time of the day!
We can even have some drink upstairs on the rooftop – it’s a great way to get to know each other and meet other guests. Just make yourself at home =)
We respect the privacy of our guests, but are available if there is anything you need help with or even to hang out and have a beer or a delicious local snack. Some of our team members even live in the premises. Come hang out with us in the common area or send us a message if you don’t see us.
Our home is tucked away in a safe, CCTV-monitored alley, away from all the noise of Saigon’s busy streets, so rest assured and enjoy your stay with us knowing that everything you need is only a few steps away:
✯ 24/7 convenience stores, restaurants, bars, cafes and even parks.
✯ Ben Thanh Market is only 5 min walking from our home and all that it entails
✯ Just a 5-minute walk from the backpacker area consisting of Bui Vien and Pham Ngu Lao streets.
✯ Nguyen Hue (Walking Street) and the tourist sites aren’t far off either – so you can make a great day out of exploring our alleys and sights!
With everything located so conveniently close to you, there’s not much else you’d need in a city like this. We’ll gladly recommend places for you to go if you are overwhelmed with your choices!
Don’t be overwhelmed by the motorcycles on the road – walk around, cross the streets, get some Banh Mi and go to September 23rd Park or have a Ca Phe Sua Da on the sidewalk like a local. You are only a walking distance away from many restaurants and markets, but taxis are readily available too for ~15k VND per km, or you can also opt for Grab and GoViet (transportation apps just like Uber), which are our recommended cost-saving options to explore the city with no hassle. They also offer motorbike travels so that you can get around easier during rush hours.
Ben Thanh city bus station is just in front of the market if you want to be adventurous and try our local buses to get to another part of the city. If you need any advice on catching one of these, just ask us and we will help you.
PS – when you are walking, do keep your belongings safe. Bag snatching and pickpocketing is a big issue here unfortunately (especially if you are a tourist) and we don’t want your holiday to be ruined.
We highly recommend that you take advantage of Onetrip’s donation-based City Tour run by local university students seeking cultural exchange opportunities with foreign travelers. It is a great way to see the city and a big favorite for our guests.
Onetrip is the #1 ranked tour operator offering Evening Food Tour and other experiences, including the Mekong Delta and the Cu Chi Tunnels Adventure. Just send us a message if you need help booking an experience.
Our #1 RULE is to treat our home as if it were your own - unless your home resembles that of a college frat house, in which case think of your grandma’s home instead =) With that being said, the following rules are implemented out of necessity in order to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.
STRICTLY NO SMOKING inside the property. Any signs of smoking inside our property will result in a USD$250 cleaning fee for restoration of our property and availability loss to get the unit ready for our next guests. Additionally, we reserve our rights to ask guests who break our policies to leave immediately without refund.
MUST REGISTER all over-night visitors. This is actually required by the law but is also a good practice to ensure everyone's safety. You will be held completely responsible for any wrongdoing such as causing damage, being negligent (ie: leaving the gate to our home unlocked), and being disrespectful to those around. Standard extra guest fees will also be applied accordingly.
NO SHOES inside the house. We understand this can be an issue for some people, but that is the Vietnamese custom and we also love to keep our floors clean. Maybe you’ll make a habit of it back home!
A SOCIAL ACCOMMODATION - We strive to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience that is different to what you get at hotels and hostels – something more responsible, more human, and ultimately more valuable. We believe that our mission aligns perfectly well with Airbnb’s community. With that in mind, please do not treat our members or our services like you would at a hotel. If you’re looking for 24/7 room service, we strongly suggest that you book your accommodation elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a chilled out, cozy atmosphere…a home away from home, then by all means book with us.
HAVE RESPECT for those around you. All of the rules listed above are simply to encourage our guests to be respectful towards one another and together build a better, more social and responsible community.
CONSEQUENCES for breaking these rules can unfortunately result in the offender(s) being asked to leave, in addition to providing compensation for losses or damages caused. We will have complete discretion on whether to offer a refund for the unused portion of the reservation. So far, we have not asked any guest to leave and we would prefer to keep it that way for as long as we can, so please help us keep the friendly streak going.
Other than that, all that is left to say is that we hope you have a wonderful stay and that you will fall in love with this beautiful city just like we did.
Okay, that’s it, your search is over. You’re never going to find better than this place. From the start the communication is brilliant. Once there, the staff are so kind, friendly and attentive, and do anything to help make your stay comfy. For example, I was disturbed at night by the sound of the night shutters. They immediately took it out of service and arranged for it to be repaired. I have never got service like it anywhere else. The place is so absolutely spotlessly clean, it’s actually kinda freaky :) I regularly visit Saigon on business, and I have found my permanent place for sure.
A nice and warm place to stay. All of the team members here are great, friendly, cool and interesting. The team is very accommodating and responsive 24/7. They are professional, helpful and respected my privacy. The room is very comfortable and clean. The fridge is big and spacious and the couch/futon is useful. The bedroom is very spacious and comfortable. The sheets are very soft and even though they look thin, the blanket is very warm. The air conditioning worked perfectly and is easily adjustable. The huge windows in the bedroom are really nice and bright when the curtains are open and provide a quiet view on the streets below. The couch room does not have any windows, so it is nicer to sit in the common area downstairs where you can say hello to the hosts and learn about the great city or wait for a taxi. The location is in a unique and quiet alley (compared to the other streets) but still busy. There is a metal gate that closes around 11 or 12 at night that every guest can open and close with their key. The gate is a little noisy if you are on the first floor, but only if someone uses it. It didn't bother me that much but you will hear it in the morning around 7 if you are on the first floor. The hosts here are great and welcoming and I recommend for the experience to meet others like the really cool hosts and have a comfortable base from which to explore the great city.
