Guest access

Unlike many other spaces in Ho Chi Minh City, there is no curfew with us. You are able to walk in and out as you please and take advantage of the other facilities in the building.

There is a gorgeous aerial infinity pool up on the 25th floor. The building is surrounded by the Saigon river on 3 sides, so you can imagine what the view looks like! A barbecue garden is also available on the rooftop – perfect for drinking a few beers with friends or family.

There's the gym with modern equipment on the G floor, as well as a convenience store that closes at 23:00. But not to worry, a 24/7 Circle K is only a few meters away :)

The reception area is also available 24/7 should you need immediate help.

Interaction with guests

We respect the privacy of our guests but we will always be there should you ever need anything. We can even go out for a nice meal or have a beer somewhere - just shoot us a message via Airbnb =)

The neighborhood

Icon56 is located in District 4, across the river from the business and commercial district of Saigon. Don’t let the number of the district put you off – you are literally just 7 minutes away from Ben Thanh Market and all that it entails – restaurants, bars, cafes, and even parks. Nguyen Hue (the famous pedestrian street) and other major city attractions are also only a walking distance away from you.

District 4 is popular for its street-food. Ton Dan street, Vinh Khanh street, and Cau Chong street, all within walking distance, are all popular street food alleys where you can find various dishes of Vietnam, such as pho, bun rieu, sea snails (oc), banh mi, bot chien, bun mam, etc., and other dishes like grilled chicken and even sushi! Your options are almost limitless!

You can either join the countless others on stools on the sidewalk or get some take-away and find a spot on the famous Cau Mong bridge, and eat in peace as you watch the sunset over the river.

There is also a convenience store on the ground floor of the building and a 24/7 Circle K a 2 minute walk away. With everything located so conveniently close to you, there’s not much else you’d need in a city like this. We’ll gladly recommend places for you to go if you are overwhelmed with your choices!

Getting around

Don’t be overwhelmed by the motorcycles on the road – walk around, cross our streets, get some Banh Mi and go to Cau Mong bridge to watch the sunset. You are only a walking distance away from many restaurants and markets, but taxis are readily available too for ~15.000 VND per km, but Grab are the cheapest options to get around with no hassle. They also offer the bike options so you can avoid traffic.

PS – when you are walking, do keep your belongings safe. Bag snatching and pickpocketing is a big issue here unfortunately (especially if you are a tourist) and we don’t want your holiday to be ruined.

Other things to note

We highly recommend that you take advantage of Onetrip’s donation-based City Tour run by local university students seeking cultural exchange opportunities with foreign travelers. It is a great way to orient yourself within the city and see all the beautiful landmarks of Saigon. Not to mention, it is a favorite among our guests! There's also the Evening Food Tour to fill your tummy up with what we think are the best local yum yums. Other options include the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels Adventure. If interested, do send us a message and we will save you a seat!!

Our team provides some of the best adventures throughout the country via Onetrip while Christina's is also available in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Da Lat and Hanoi. So if you need help planning the trip of a lifetime in Vietnam, just let us know. Just mention that you want a "Magical Trip" and we'll prioritize to make sure you're taken care of.

House rules

Our #1 RULE is to treat our home as if it were your own - unless your home resembles that of a college frat house, in which case think of your grandma’s home instead =) With that being said, the following rules are implemented out of necessity in order to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

STRICTLY NO SMOKING inside the property. Any signs of smoking inside our property will result in a USD$250 cleaning fee for restoration of our property and availability loss to get the unit ready for our next guests. Additionally, we reserve our rights to ask guests who break our policies to leave immediately without refund.

MUST REGISTER all over-night visitors. This is actually required by the law but is also a good practice to ensure everyone's safety. You will be held completely responsible for any wrongdoing such as causing damage, being negligent (ie: leaving the gate to our home unlocked), and being disrespectful to those around. Standard extra guest fees will also be applied accordingly.

NO SHOES inside the house. We understand this can be an issue for some people, but that is the Vietnamese custom and we also love to keep our floors clean. Maybe you’ll make a habit of it back home!

A SOCIAL ACCOMMODATION - We strive to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience that is different to what you get at hotels and hostels – something more responsible, more human, and ultimately more valuable. We believe that our mission aligns perfectly well with Airbnb’s community. With that in mind, please do not treat our members or our services like you would at a hotel. If you’re looking for 24/7 room service, we strongly suggest that you book your accommodation elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a chilled out, cozy atmosphere…a home away from home, then by all means book with us.

HAVE RESPECT for those around you. All of the rules listed above are simply to encourage our guests to be respectful towards one another and together build a better, more social and responsible community.

CONSEQUENCES for breaking these rules can unfortunately result in the offender(s) being asked to leave, in addition to providing compensation for losses or damages caused. We will have complete discretion on whether to offer a refund for the unused portion of the reservation. So far, we have not asked any guest to leave and we would prefer to keep it that way for as long as we can, so please help us keep the friendly streak going.

Other than that, all that is left to say is that we hope you have a wonderful stay and that you will fall in love with this beautiful city just like we did.

Check In

The host are very nice and responsive will be lookikg forward to go back again soon .

“Christina” is actually the “Onetrip Tour Company,” so your check-in will come with a sales pitch for tours. Pros: It’s a stylish and well-designed space, with a comfortable bed (very rare in Asia) and beautiful views from the rooftop area. Very attentive team of hosts, good for a first time visitor. Cons: deceptive location marker, this Airbnb is no closer to District 1 than the other Airbnb’s in District 4. Would have been great to have more than 4 sun loungers at the pool, an extra towel for the pool, sheer blinds for privacy from the neighbors without making the room dark, a microwave, and 12pm/2pm check out/in hours. There are similar options in D4 that offer all of these things, for sometimes half the price.

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed at, and definitely the best so far in SE Asia. Very stylish space, fast internet, infinity pool. Only downside is the location is a little far from attractions, but getting around is so cheap it wasn’t an issue.
