Guest access

Unlike many other spaces in Ho Chi Minh City, there is no curfew with us. In addition to having 24/7 access to the house and your studio, you can also use our laundry facilities, rooftop, and lounge area at any time of the day. Tea bags and coffee in the lodge are all for free!!!

Interaction with guests

We respect the privacy of our guests, but are available if there is anything you need help with or even to just hang out and have a beer or a delicious snack. Some of our team members even live in the premises. Come hang out with us in the common area or send us a message if you don’t see us around :D

The neighborhood

Our home is tucked away in an alley, away from all the noise of Saigon’s busy streets.

Everything you need is only a few steps away

* 24hr convenience stores, restaurants, bars, cafes and even parks.

* We’re also less than a 5-minute walk away from Ben Thanh Market

* 5-minute walk from the backpacker district consisting of Bui Vien and Pham Ngu Lao

We’ll gladly recommend places for you to go if you are overwhelmed with your choices!

Getting around

Don’t be overwhelmed by the motorcycles on the road – walk around, cross our streets (go with the crowd) get some Banh Mi and go to September 23 Park or have a Ca Phe Sua Da (the iced milk coffee) on the sidewalk like a local.

You are only a walking distance away from many restaurants and markets, but taxis are readily available too for ~15k VND per km, or you can opt for Grab and GoViet (transportation apps similar to Uber), which are our recommended cost-saving options to explore the city with no hassle. They also offer the motorbike options so that you can easily get around even during rush hours.

Ben Thanh city bus station is just in front of the market if you want to be adventurous and try our local buses to get to another part of the city. If you need any advice on catching one of these, just ask us and we will help you.

P/S – When you are walking, do keep your belongings safe. Bag snatching and pickpocketing is a big issue here unfortunately (especially if you are a tourist) and we don’t want your holiday to be ruined.

Other things to note

We highly recommend that you take advantage of Onetrip’s donation-based City Tour run by local university students seeking cultural exchange opportunities with foreign travelers.

We also offer an Evening Food Tour to fill your tummy up with what we think are the best local yummy.

We’ll gladly recommend places for you to go if you are overwhelmed with your choices!

House rules

Our #1 RULE is to treat our home as if it were your own - unless your home resembles that of a college frat house, in which case think of your grandma’s home instead =) With that being said, the following rules are implemented out of necessity in order to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

STRICTLY NO SMOKING inside the property. Any signs of smoking inside our property will result in a USD$250 cleaning fee for restoration of our property and availability loss to get the unit ready for our next guests. Additionally, we reserve our rights to ask guests who break our policies to leave immediately without refund.

MUST REGISTER all over-night visitors. This is actually required by the law but is also a good practice to ensure everyone's safety. You will be held completely responsible for any wrongdoing such as causing damage, being negligent (ie: leaving the gate to our home unlocked), and being disrespectful to those around. Standard extra guest fees will also be applied accordingly.

NO SHOES inside the house. We understand this can be an issue for some people, but that is the Vietnamese custom and we also love to keep our floors clean. Maybe you’ll make a habit of it back home!

A SOCIAL ACCOMMODATION - We strive to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience that is different to what you get at hotels and hostels – something more responsible, more human, and ultimately more valuable. We believe that our mission aligns perfectly well with Airbnb’s community. With that in mind, please do not treat our members or our services like you would at a hotel. If you’re looking for 24/7 room service, we strongly suggest that you book your accommodation elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a chilled out, cozy atmosphere…a home away from home, then by all means book with us.

HAVE RESPECT for those around you. All of the rules listed above are simply to encourage our guests to be respectful towards one another and together build a better, more social and responsible community.

CONSEQUENCES for breaking these rules can unfortunately result in the offender(s) being asked to leave, in addition to providing compensation for losses or damages caused. We will have complete discretion on whether to offer a refund for the unused portion of the reservation. So far, we have not asked any guest to leave and we would prefer to keep it that way for as long as we can, so please help us keep the friendly streak going.

Other than that, all that is left to say is that we hope you have a wonderful stay and that you will fall in love with this beautiful city just like we did.

Très bon logement. Propre. Safe. Bien équipé. Machine à laver et sèche linge à disposition. Équipe dynamique et présente. Bien placé dans le district 1.

Check in and out were smooth with Team Christina's. The staff even explained the area around airbnb and showed us the amendities provided.

Location is ideal if you often visit Bui Vien and Ben Thanh Market.

Note:

1) The sleeps were mostly disturbed by talking in the building, rather than people outside.

2) Shower area was not built to drain off water fast. Do request for a tool to push water to drain after each shower.

Other than that, great stay with great hospitality!

Great place in walking distance from lots of local restaurants and tourist attractions.
