Interaction with guests

Our team will be at the entrance welcome you in person and sweetly settle you in the room. There is always a host around, so we are just easy to get to us or shoot us a message.

We respect the privacy of our guests but are willing if there is anything you need help with or even to just hang out and have a beer or a delicious local snack.

The neighborhood

Our home is located right in the heart of Tra Que Village, which is about 1km away from the popular An Bang beach, and about 3km away from the Ancient Town center.

Tra Que vegetable village grows most of the vegetables and herbs you'll find in dishes served throughout Hoi An.

Take advantage of our complimentary bicycles and ride through the green, clean and picturesque village, and watch as the local farmers cultivate, care for and harvest their produce. It will be an experience unlike any other, one unique to this part of Vietnam.

You can also have a go at being a farmer yourself and pick your own veggies to experiment around with – make sure to ask us about the “be a farmer for a day” experience

Getting around

The best way to get around Hoi An is on wheels...but only two of them. No, we’re not talking about motorbikes! We recommend you take advantage of our free bicycles and enjoy the gentle breeze as you peddle your way through the empty streets.

We offer motorcycles for rent as well at 165k VND (7USD) per day - just ask our team. Taxis are also readily available for ~18k VND per km.

Other things to note

Our team provides some of the best food tours and adventures throughout the country via Onetrip while Christina's is also available in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang, Da Lat and Hanoi. So if you need help planning the trip of a lifetime in Vietnam, just let us know. Just mention that you want a "Magical Trip" and we'll prioritize to make sure you're taken care of.

We also recommend that you look into Hoi An Mates, a non-profit organization that offers a free city tour guided by local university students seeking cultural exchange opportunities with foreign travelers. It is a great way to get introduced to the magical city of Hoi An. Not to mention, it is a favorite among our guests!

House rules

Our #1 RULE is to treat our home as if it were your own - unless your home resembles that of a college frat house, in which case think of your grandma’s home instead =P With that being said, the following rules are implemented out of necessity in order to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort.

STRICTLY NO SMOKING inside the property. Any signs of smoking inside our property will result in a USD$250 cleaning fee for restoration of our property and availability loss to get the unit ready for our next guests. Additionally, we reserve our rights to ask guests who break our policies to leave immediately without refund.

MUST REGISTER all over-night visitors. This is actually required by the law but is also a good practice to ensure everyone's safety. You will be held completely responsible for any wrongdoing such as causing damage, being negligent (ie: leaving the gate to our home unlocked), and being disrespectful to those around.

NO NEGOTIATION on our price. We believe that our quoted prices are appropriate for the value we bring to our guests.

A SOCIAL ACCOMMODATION. We strive to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience that is different to what you get at hotels and hostels – something more responsible, more human, and ultimately something more valuable. With that in mind, please do not treat our members or our services like you would at a hotel. If you’re looking for 24/7 room service, we strongly suggest that you book your accommodation elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a chilled out, cozy atmosphere, if you’re looking for a home away from home, then by all means book with us =)

HAVE RESPECT for those around you. All of the rules listed above are simply to encourage our guests to be respectful towards one another and together build a better, more social and more responsible community.

CONSEQUENCES for breaking these rules can unfortunately result in the offender(s) being asked to leave, in addition to providing compensation for losses or damages caused. We will have complete discretion on whether to offer a refund for the unused portion of the reservation. So far we have not asked any guest to leave and we would prefer to keep it that way for as long as we can, so please understand where we’re coming from :)

Other than that, all that is left to say is that we hope you have a wonderful stay and that you will fall in love with this beautiful city.

Check In

This is a beautiful location with amazing gardens and delicious local restaurants surrounding the area.

Be aware that you cannot drive a car to the house itself, but the staff at Christina’s will pick you and all your bags up via motorbike and bring you to the main facility without question. Great staff and amazing area. We took a cooking class in one on the neighbouring restaurants and it was an amazing experience.

This was one of my favorite stays ever. I have travelled to 40+ countries and I can say without a doubt Dong and his team were the most helpful and thoughtful hosts I have ever encountered anywhere. The villa is amazing and is set in a serene setting surrounded by wetlands, ponds, a river and community vegetable gardens. Everything was amazingly clean and comfortable. To top it all off, Dong was super responsive to any question or request and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and emphatically encourage everyone to stay here.

This place is a real gem! We stayed a week at the new 3 bedroom villa and really enjoyed the space and tranquility.

The house overlooks the river and rice paddies at the front and the gorgeous vegetable gardens at the back. The balcony provided a lovely place to sit an watch the vegetable gardeners at work in the early morning and late afternoon. The location is very peaceful and a few minutes bicycle ride to the main resort where you have access to the swimming pool. The pool at the hotel is lovely, and the breakfast buffet (for a small additional cost) is delicious! I really liked the banh mi and also the homemade yoghurt.

The house is very conveniently located - about a 10min bicycle ride to the beach and about 25mins to the town. It is also easy (and cheap) to get a taxi to either the town or the beach.

The house has everything you could need and including a washing machine on the top floor. The house is also cleaned every second day so it is spotless.

We were looked after by Xiu and Dong who, among other things, organised a nice cooking class with the local people at Water wheel, which was a lovely experience. They also gave great tips on local restaurants - some of which are a very short bike ride away.

The only downside we could find was that the sofa was rather uncomfortable, but we are assured this will be remedied with more cushions.

I would thoroughly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful relaxing stay in Hoi An. It would be ideal for a family or a group looking for a little more space. A very memorable and enjoyable stay! Thanks Xiu and Dong!
