Due to the complicated widespread of Coronoavirus, we are sorry to reject or cancel all bookings from Chinese visitors or anyone coming from China to Vietnam. Please note that we value all customers and we believe everyone has the right to choose where they want to stay. However, in this situation when Coronoavirus has become worse and worse every day in some specific areas in China, we need to find the best solution to minimize the risk of Coronoavirus and to make sure all guests are staying in a safe and clean environment.

Thank you for your understanding.

The primary goal of THE ORIENT is to build a wide range of accommodation in different concepts about history, tradition, culture. And War & Peace homestay is one of them.

Interaction with guests

I will be available all the time to make sure you get the most accurate and prompt response.

The neighborhood

The homestay is conveniently located close to the top attraction, shopping areas and excellent food vendors.

It is easily accessible by cars, motorbikes or bicycle. From War & Peace homestay, it's so easy for guests to get around the city. Luckily, our homestay is not affected by the noise and crowd in the old quarter, this tranquil, quiet place will ensure you to have a peaceful stay.

Getting around

It takes about 10 minutes by motorbike to the Hoian bus station. Taxis are available all the time near the homestay.

From the Hoian bus station, you can walk to the homestay (20 minutes) or go with a motorbike taxi (you just need to show them the address)

Please let me know when you arrive Hoian so that I can assist you on your way to our place.

Other things to note

My guests were really happy to know one of the house rules is to keep the noise minimum after 10:30 p.m so that all guests can enjoy a quiet, relaxing night.

House rules

Please be quiet after 10 pm

Check In

Duyen's unique homestay offers comfy beds, air conditioning, heavy water pressure and TVs. All the comforts of home a million miles away. Everyone was very kind and helpful. Duyen even gave us a guided map and coupon book to help us get better acquainted with Hoi An. There is so much to explore in the city so definitely get outside and walk around/explore as much as possible. We were here for three days and wanted to stay longer.

Duyen was a fantastic host with the best local tips. We also fell in love with Rosie, a dog she rescued recently from meeting a grim fate. Duyen helped us secure a moped which made sightseeing a lot more convenient, can’t wait to wear my custom tailored 3-piece suit back in New York!

A few things I loved about Duyen's place: the room was dark, which was great for late sleepers like ourselves. She provides free drinkable water, which you can refill at any time from the common area. Her place is really close to a tasty vegetarian restaurant right down the road, which we ate at often. And the bed was large and quite comfortable :).
