From $28 per night

My brother and I both are bachelors of English. However, he likes cooking and I like rock-climbing and kayaking. We both love to meet people. We have a wonderful floating house located in the most beautiful bay of the world. Our place is always open to guests. Come and enjoy a local fisherman's day with us.

In monsoon season, if any bookings fall on a storm day, we will approve full refund.

The neighborhood

There are 2 floating houses around our place, one on the right and one on the left. In much further distance, there are some more. They are all fishermen's. The most amazing thing is watching them catching fish (fishing rod, home-made trap, light). We have amazing experience when one fishing with the light decided to join our hot-pot dinner, he brought in the amazingly fresh fish and squids. Others surround us all are Karst mountains emerging out of emerald Pacific water, which hide among them some stunning secluded lagoons.

Getting around

Guests will stay in the middle of Lan Ha Bay with the great view from the huge glass window of the bed room. Guests are provided a kayak to explore the surroundings with caves, lagoons, secluded beach, equiped with life jackets, phone, map and drybag.

Useful stuff is here :

1. There are solar panels, so you can charge anything

2. There is beer fridge at good price so don’t bother taking some with you.

3. Definitely take the dinner (made by owner) at that place, super delicious kitchen. Seafood and regular meat is served.

4. Take some snacks, once you get to the flat, it is impossible to buy anything near.

5. Charles will set up all the transportation stuff from Hanoi and go back. Everything was well organized.

6. Even if you are more into comfy places, it is worth trying. One night at least.

7. It is way more like camping rather than usual hotel.

8. You (probably) won’t be alone there. The whole place is few separate rooms, separately booked. So be ready to meet new people there. The owner also lives there.

Even though I prefer comfortable places, I was stunned by the surroundings of that place. There is no way for tasting Vietnam in more real/local way than that. Do whatever it takes to stay there. Strongly recommend this place.

What an amazing experience— there are no words!! Charles and Kai are PHENOMENAL hosts that greet you with the utmost hospitality! We highly recommend staying two nights if you can!! You will feel so connected to the sea and the sky and so at peace with the earth <3

This is a perfect experience for travelers who are looking for an authentic and adventurous experience. It definitely feels like camping so be prepared to feel a bit grungy/rustic :)

Thank you so much, Charles—- we will never forget this!

Duc and Charles are wonderful hosts !! They were soooo much help to us; especially on the back end of our trip!! Duc helped us get alllll the way back to Hanoi! He came with us during a typhoon. He is amazing !! His brother, Ha, was also super sweet & such a good cook! Their place was great! Perfect for a couple day getaway! Hospitality was so great & they went out of your way to try to help us during a typhoon. We would not have gotten home without Duc! We definitely recommend their place to any of our friends that make it to Vietnam!
