From $26 per night

My brother and I both are bachelors of English. However, he likes cooking and I like rock-climbing and kayaking. We both love to meet people. We have a wonderful floating house located in the most beautiful bay of the world. Our place is always open to guests. Come and enjoy a local fisherman's day with us.

In the monsoon season, if any bookings unfortunately fall on the storm days, we will approve full refund.

The neighborhood

There are 2 floating houses around our place, one on the right and one on the left. In much further distance, there are some more. They are all fishermen's. The most amazing thing is watching them catching fish (fishing rod, home-made trap, light). We have amazing experience when one fishing with the light decided to join our hot-pot dinner, he brought in the amazingly fresh fish and squids. Others surround us all are Karst mountains emerging out of emerald Pacific water, which hide among them some stunning secluded lagoons.

Getting around

Guests will stay in the middle of Lan Ha Bay with the great view from the huge glass window of the bed room. Guests are provided a kayak to explore the surroundings with caves, lagoons, secluded beach, equiped with life jackets, phone, map and drybag.

Check In

This was a great experience! For us getting to meet the other 10 guests on the floating homestay made this place very special. We made friends from all over the world! The host was very warm, friendly and accommodating. The dinner he cooked for us was delicious and shared with our new friends we made at the homestay. We were disappointed at the level of pollution in Lan Ha Bay. The water felt slimy and there was a lot of rubbish floating about. We understand tourism has a large impact on the local environment but want other travelers to be aware of the situation in both Lan Ha Bay and Halong Bay.

Great unique place and well worth the money

It was definitely the most unique place I’ve stayed in. Bring a lot of cash. Extra expenses for the bus, water taxi, dinner, beer. Adds up. The bed wasn’t very comfortable but the views made up for it. We got caught in a storm too which made it that much cooler. Live like a local, eat like a local
