Not the fanciest area in the city, but coming out of the alley, you can see the busting typical daily life of Vietnamese people. Plus, you can get anything you need at cheaper prices and within walking distance.
We have a guidebook available at the apartment that provides with tips and instructions.
Other things to note

+ We offer laundry service within the building with very cheap price.
Hà’s place is a really nice, clean and cosy apartment. The check in process was fantastic as we arrived late in to Vietnam and were able to let ourselves in using the lockbox. You can access the apartment from two streets, one is a bit dark and intimidating but the other is a bustling street market which was energetic and busy! The location is a 15 minute walk to the old quarter that requires you to use a bridge to cross a busy motorway style road. The communication with Hà worked well and we really enjoyed our stay here.
Place was as expected, nice and close to the old town without being in it. We got the sleeper train out of Hanoi and were able to leave our bags at the building until then so we could enjoy our last day in Hanoi :)
