Huong and her staffs are so nice and friendly so dont hesitate to ask them for travelling and food tips. The location is not far from Trang Tien bridge so you can get a free bike from them to travel around or you can take a taxi around 2$. Try Bun Bo Hue in the hostel because many people told me that only Hue people can make the proper Bun Bo broth and taste:))

This hostel is a simple accommodation with modest amenities but the attention you will receive from the host and his staff is priceless, not to mention the experiences of being among the Hue community in a neighborhood settling, away from the tour buses and constant honking 24/7. You will leave Rubis feeling like you had stayed with a close friend rather than in a hostel. Great free WIFI reception and the free breakfast was delicious. My friends and I stayed at a 5-star resort, which was nice and beautiful, but pale in comparison to the experiences of staying within a Hue neighborhood and interacting with the residents and watching their kids play kick ball in the streets. Not once did I felt unsafe. We walked to dinner at Tre Non which was 5 minutes walk from Rubisin the DARK! Tre Non , is a traditional grilling of your own food in Vietnam ( a must do!!!) it's a little intimidating at first but worth every dong. Rubis Hostel is a must stay and a must return place. Thank you host Rin and staff Anh. ❤️..Jessica (San Francisco)

The best part of this place are the owners and staff. They provided a thorough intro to Hue and lots of local tips- which all proved to be good! They were quick to respond and help out with all of my questions and needs. This is a hostel, not a homestay, which I didn’t realize before arriving. My room was basic and sufficient for a few days as a solo traveler, but I’m not sure I’d want to stay there longer. My private room was right next to a dorm room, so it was a bit noisy at times. It is true that it’s not very far from most things, but if you’re considering riding a bicycle, I’d recommend you feel comfortable riding on major thoroughfares, as many of the routes required this. Overall, a good place to rest your head for a few days with very welcoming hosts. Thank you!
