**Best location near Japanese town in the center of Saigon**

Saigon On Edge Homestay is a unique space inside a residential building located in one of the last community-style neighborhoods in District 1 of Saigon/ Ho Chi Minh City.

It’s difficult to find a place like this: homely yet in a very central part of the city. It’s close to every main attractions in District 1, and also just a few minutes walk away from the mesmerizing “Japanese town” area.

Your space

Accommodates: 5
Bathrooms: 1
Bed type: Real Bed
Bedrooms: 2
Beds: 1
Check In: After 2PM
Check Out: 11AM
Property Type: Entire apartment
Room Type: Entire home/apt

The place has 4 separated spaces:

- Bedroom 1 (The Hideaway): biggest room in the apartment with a bed, a desk, wardrobe and a small sofa. The 2 windows offer peaceful views over the trees in the neighborhood

- Bedroom 2 (The Attic): the highest space in the apartment. Climb a set of ladders and you get to have great views over the neighborhood and the skyscraper building right next to it

- Reading Room (The Reader): I love finding a place only for myself just to get immersed in good books. This room is designed for that purpose.

- Lobby (The Edge): wanna enjoy the classic coffee-shop atmosphere? The Edge is a edge-of-the-building balcony converted into a coffee & tea place, as well as a kitchen. Enjoy your drinks at The Edge with glass windows overlooking the neighborhood. I have an electric stove for you to cook simple dishes. From the lobby, sometimes you’ll spot the many cats playing on the roof of the neighbor’s house too.

Guest access

Guests have the whole apartment to themselves.

Interaction with guests

I have a day job so I won’t be bothering your private stay. But if you want to hang out at night around Saigon’s central districts, I’m up for it. And I’m very responsive through texts and chats so don’t hesitate to message me if you need anything

The neighborhood

The neighborhood is an old residential area. There are a lot of cats and dogs in the area so sometimes it can smell. However, inside the apartment, no pets are allowed and it doesn't smell of cats & dogs.

It's a old community-style neighborhood so you can sometimes see people cooking outside. There’s a pub and a hairstylist’s place downstairs. Overall it’s very quiet on weekdays and very private. On weekends, as with any place in central districts, it can be noisy in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Getting around

There’s a 24/7 parking space 1-minute walk from my apartment. It’s easy to park there. You can rent a motorbike and park it there.

From my apartment:

- Many convenience stores are 2-3 minute walk.

- Japanese town is 3-minute walk

- Saigon Zoo is 7-minute walk

- Duc Ba Cathedral is 15-minute walk

- Independence Palace is 17-minute walk

- Nguyen Hue Walking street is 16-minute walk or 5-minute Grab bike/Grab car (Uber-like service)

- Bui Vien street: 15-minute ride by Grab bike/ Grab car.

Other things to note

The place is designed for short-term traveller. If you plan to stay for longer than 1 or 2 weeks, it may not be suitable (laundry could be done outside since no washer is available inside the space)

House rules

I am a single man running this place. So I would appreciate it if you clean up after yourself when you bring food outside into the loft apartment. Thank you so much.

This is a quiet neighborhood so please do not make a lot of noise or wander into my neighbors’ private ground.

Check In

Hoang’s place is well-designed, making it very cozy and comfortable. The apartment is centrally located in District 1, thus, we could check out many good restaurants/spots in Saigon just by walking. The apartment is actually also pretty well-hidden amid the craziness of Saigon, hence, it’s pretty quiet still. Hoang is very nice and responds quickly to our questions. Overall, highly recommend.

Nice apartment

The apartment is in a great location in the city, close to many interesting locations. Even though the outside of the apartment is a little rough, the inside is lovely. Check in was really easy and Hoang was very quick and easy to communicate with.
