The room is stylish and cozy, with curtained glass walls on two sides, and some greeneries that I think you will love. :)

You will stay on the top floor of a very cool pre-war house that our family just renovated. It is the 2nd floor (or 3rd floor if you follow American system).

You will use a communal bathroom, shared with 3 other rooms. It has a separate shower room, toilet and washing area, and I try my best to keep it clean and neat.

Guest access

On the top floor there is a common lounge that you could relax and and chit chat with other travellers.

There is a chill balcony on the first floor; in the morning you should come here, grab a coffee and listen to the city waking up.

On the ground floor is the famous Domino bookstore (mostly Vietnamese books for now), and a coffee bar where you could try the famous Vietnamese coffee.

Interaction with guests

I'm Phung. Me and my husband (Viet) stay in the house sometimes. When we are not around, our family or friend will show you around and give you the key.

We're on the phone 24/24, so please call us or message us on Airbnb if you need any help.

The neighborhood

The house is in a small alley, in a quiet residential neighbourhood. However it is right in the centre of HCMC. There are many shops and many cheap, good restaurants around. Most attractions are nearby. Pham Ngu Lao backpacker street, Bui Vien, Ben Thanh market, museum, tour agencies, super market, Nguyen Trai shopping street, local wet market... You will save a lot on transportations.

Getting around

My place is within walking distance to the bus stop at Pham Ngu Lao backpacker street where you could catch many buses to other cities in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Check In

Great place to stay at! With friendly staff and relaxing environment.

This was our second time staying at Phung & Viet’s place, and it was perfect, again.

We stayed on the 3rd floor in cute stylish private rooms and a shared bathroom. Honestly, I never felt as if I was sharing the bathroom, tho. I think the design of the bathroom is great for the space, quite clever.

While the rooms and the bathroom are great, the atmosphere of the coffee shop/bookstore is wonderful and relaxing. Its a perfect retreat from the busy city.

The staff is amazing and cute and sweet.

If you have a little heart and soul, you will love this place. Book it, you wont be disappointed.

This is such an amazing place! While it is located in a busy area, domino is like a peaceful oasis from the hectic city. With beautiful plants and books, I felt right at home. I also met some pretty awesome people. We look forward to coming back for another stay. Thank you!
